GLASS HOUSE MOUNTAINS LOOKOUT

Public BBQ

Glass House Mountains Lookout delivers panoramic views of the volcanic peaks without requiring a strenuous hike. A sealed path climbs gently from the car park, where plenty of parking is available, to a wide timber deck with sweeping vistas of the distinctive mountain range. The lookout tower is well maintained and provides the best vantage point, particularly for sunrise viewing. The site includes a short walking trail through peaceful bushland and a nature reserve with educational plaques about the mountains, hinterland region, and local Jinibara and Kabi history. Visitors report the track is accessible and suitable for a quick stop or longer visit. Mount NgunNgun is nearby for those wanting an easy climb, while Mount Tibrorgargan offers walking opportunities around its base. Located just over an hour from Brisbane and close to the Sunshine Coast, the lookout attracts visitors seeking a break from busy coastal areas. The open aspect allows views across the entire landscape, making it popular with photographers.
